I successfully uploaded a skin pakage to the Host portal. I can use them just fine. However, when I go to file Manager using either Host or Admin, I can't find my skins. Did I forget to turn something on? How can I view my uploaded skin files?

depending on your options, use windows file system or FTP to view skin files.

Yes, I can view the files using FTP. But I am curious to know why I cannot view some of them when I am in DotNetNuke. There are other skins I have uploaded that I can see. But the set of skins (Minimalist is the name of the package) I just uploaded, I cannot see using DotNetNuke's file managers. Why?

For security reasons admins don't see the skins/containers folder unless they have skin upload rights.

(Or they could overwrite the skin)

If You upload skins as Host, You can not see them since they are uploaded to the host skin (/Portals/_default/) directory and are available "globally" in Your DNN installation.

If You have skin upload persmissions as Admin they will be uploaded to your portals (/Portals/x/) skins folder and will be available only in that portal, and then You can see them via Your filemanager.

As portal admin You only have access to the portal You are administrator for.
