Is this the normal behavior of DNN?

When I apply a container skin to a custom module, it displays correctly in View mode. However, when I get to Edit mode I see the default container skin applied to my module. I want my users to have a common experience across the module View & Edit modes. Any  suggestions please.

I have the same experience with multiple view controls also.

The default view control uses the modules container settings - I have made changes to make it look right.

The second view control called with navigateurl shows the standard container, ignoring the modules  custom container settings.

Has anyone solve this one ? Custom container settings for view and edit controls ?

If I understand your problem, you should apply the skin as a portal and as an admin container under site settings.

As timo mentioned above for the user that was asking about the skin view in both view and edit modes.  When a module is in "Edit" mode it will use the admin container of the site and that cannot be overwritten by the module itself, therefore you would need to change the portal wide admin container if you desired to have a different look and feel.

Does this apply to a second named View Control ? Does it only use the admin skin ?

Is there a way to have second named view control use the same skin and container settings as the default view for the module.

Thanks, Jim
