Hi there

I tried to create a new pane on the DNN-Blue, Fixed horizontal skin. It worked fine. The new pane was displayed and I was able to add content to it.
BUT : For some reason the ActionButton1 has gone from all my modules... I have'nt altered the container - just the skin. ActionButton 2 etc. are displayed just fine.

I have tried to solve the problem by overriding the altered skin files with the original (out-of-the-box) DNN-Blue skin, but the problem remains the same.

Can anyone please help me?

Have you checked to see if the markup is still in place in the container files?

Hi Will

My problem might be that I'm new to DNN.
What I've done is alter the ascx files directly inside Visual Studio.NET. I have'nt changes any of the existing runat tags, so I'm a little baffeled that it does'nt work. (Is this the correct way to alter skins?)

Anyway the end result it that the ActionButton1 link is'nt rendered AS WELL as all the module content... Dont think I wrote that in my previous post.

In all development, the only "wrong way" is the way that adversely affects end-users.  :)

You can certainly manually edit the ASCX files.  In fact, some people prefer that method of skin design.

Can you post the mark-up for your container that has the missing ActionButton:1?

Hi again

Is just an empty td...
The components are renderes as I would expect when in view mode, but in edit mode all my components are "content empty" as well as missing the "Edit" link.
I've just tried upgrading my DNN installation from 4.6 to 4.7 and this fixed the problem... (?)

I'll continue this thread if the problem comes back. Thank you for your time!
