I recently pulled a skin file off an older dotnetnuke site and installed it on a site with a newer version of dotnetnuke. For some reason this caused all the text outside the home page to revert to the default text style from default.css. I don't know that much about dotnetnuke but it seems like my text styles are being ignored and the only change is the version of dotnetnuke the skin is being used with.

Does anyone know why this would happen or how it could be fixed.

This is the text style that is supposed to be used for body text.

 .SkinObject {
    font-weight:normal;
    font-size:12px;
    color: #000000;
    font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    text-decoration:none;}

But instead the default.css style is apparently being used.

.SkinObject {
    font-weight: bold;
    font-size: 8.5pt;
    color: #003366;
    font-family: Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica;
    text-decoration: none;
}

Thank you for any help you can give.

I've had the exact same thing happen to me in the last hour.

All I did though was edit some text in a Text/HTML module - and now the Default.css is appearing after the Skin.css.

How can this be fixed or changed back? The css for me relates to the page skin which does change a bit for the site sections. Any hints? Try to get the Skin.css reloaded again after the Default.css?  Only thing I can think of but it does mean it's loaded twice unneccessarily.

Same problem as Ronald, but I think it is something else causing it.

Thanks

David

This might be the same for Ronald (worth checking!)

All it was, I had missed a closing '}' in my CSS file above the point the default.css appeared to be taking over.
