Hi all

Basically my problem is finding resources to help me create a custom nav menu.  I know most of you will be thinking "search google!".  Well i have, all day, for hours.  I found the DotNetNuke Navigation WebControls pdf but that wasn't a massive help.  All i really want to do is understand how to modify say the solpartmenu effectively.

I already had a go and made solpartmenu align right and display vertically.  Problem is when you click a link the menu changes shape and the clicked item goes from being about 25px height to its minimum possible height.

I'd prefferably like to create a menu from scratch as opposed to just tweaking existing menus as that never seems to achieve what i want.  Any links anyone could give me or if you could help me solve my solpartmenu problem that would be brilliant.

Si

I figured out how to stop the solpartmenu changing size when clicked:

.MainMenu_MenuItemSel
{
    /*Stops items changing size when clicked*/
    height: 35px;
}

But i'm still looking for any info on creating nav bars from scratch if anyone can help?

I created all kinds of menu by tweking exsisting DNN built-in menus or third party created menus. I believe you can do that as well. Can you show me the example of what you want to achieve? (website address with similar menu you want or just plain writing here)

http://www.pixel-house.com.au/ this is the main menu I'd like to use. Nothing flashy but i know what i want.  The main problem I seem to have is to create a menu mouse over effect that is the height of that menu item rather than just the text inside.

Your example is an unordered list menu, you would be better off using for instance House menu
