This disappearing menu problem is a bit odd, to say the least. But, as you said, this product is amazing. It has many strengths, some weaknesses and yes, a few bugs. But, overall, it's well worth the effort and I'm sure even this seemingly odd problem will be fixed (and forgotten). As for the refresh button, I think you can break pretty much any site with significant css and skinning, so that's not really a cause for concern.

There is a few oddities in Chrome that I already plan on addressing.  If you wouldn't mind trying a few things for me.  First, try updating your code to the latest controls (http://dnnwebcontrols.codeplex.com/)  (you can use the package installer for this).  Second, try using a skin without all the extra widgets.  I have one available here (CodeEndeavor Template Skin).  MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR SITE FIRST.

Finally, if things still don't work, if someone can post a public URL to thier site with an issue please post it.  Hopefully, I can get the time to dive into this next week.  Any research you can do before then to expediate the troubleshooting is appreciated!

Jon, Thank you for taking a look at this. I followed your suggestions and installed the latest webcontrols. First I took a brand-new 5.0.1 install and applied the new webcontrols. The menu still disappears when the Back button is used. Then I made your Template Skin the site's default skin. Again, no change in menu behavior. This is not a publicly accessible site so I can't offer a link to check it out, sorry. But, like I said in earlier posts, a plain, all defaults 5.0.1 install will exhibit the problem every time (under chrome).

I'm having the same problem with Safari on our DNN site and while searching for a solution I found this post:

http://forum.yetanotherforum.net/yaf_postst8867_Bug-Fixed-Google-Chrome-reporting-as-AppleMACSafari-50.aspx

Could ASP.NET be repoting the wrong browser type to itself and intepreting the HTML incorrectly?

The post doesn't mention anything about the DNN menu but I think it's definitiely worth investigating. When I have time to test it out on a non-live site I will and let you know. If anyone else tests this out in the meantime please post your findings.
