Hi,

in my skin I am using background images for normal and hover states. When I am using submenus, DNN will implicitly add menu_down.gif for the background image style of the menu items with submenus, thus overriding the stylish backgrounds I was using. I can specify an alternative to menu_down.gif with the "IndicateChildImageRoot" property, but this does not take me far. I want submenus plus graphical backgrounds.

TIA for any hint on this!

Regards
Tim

Did you check the minimal extropy skin? It uses background images on hovers for the submenus and there it does work

Thank you Timo, good hint! I had tried deleting the "IndicateChildImageRoot" Property but it must be set to "false" to not implicitly get a background image set.

Of course I really want the Indicator there PLUS the background image... I helped myself by adding  » to the page names with submenus (there does not seem to be an html entity for a triangular arrow down shape), but that of course is not very elegant. Is it possible to get the indicator plus custom backgrounds for hover and selected menu items?

Regards
Tim
