From my experience, when you uninstall a skin at host>extensions but some reference to the skin/containers still exists (usually at the recycle bin, or you wouldn't be allowed to delete at host level), the skin is deleted from the host>extensions list but it is kept at the admin>skins lists.

It has made for some messy adminstration of the site/cms ... it took me 30 seconds to install it and I am now a day into trying to remove it.

Are you still trying to remove it?

Did you check on recycle bin items (some might still point to that skin/containers)?

I am still trying to resolve the issue.  I have looked everywhere that has been suggested but nothing is showing up anywhere.  The items still show up in the list on both the host and admin.

I installed them at the host level, thus I don't have a portals folder. The skins and container folder appear to be empty.

Warf, every DNN install has a /portals/ folder, have you checked in there for the _default folder?
