Today's question is.....

How do I specify how much % of the page a module takes?

I want to make my forum take, say 80% of page width, then put stuff to the right like Chat or PM and Users online, Ads, quick links, etc.
So I'm thinking I put my forum int he left pane and other module in the right. But I can't find a % of page or fixed width setting anywhere.

Please can anyone advise?

Thanks
Susie

it depends, how your skin specifies widths of the panes, there are different techniques depending whether it is a table or div based skin.

Ah, I'm using EasyMod's Flexi2. I can see full page width specified in the EasyMod config tool. I'll take a look at their documentation then. Thanks Sebastian.

I've had this answer from DrNuke for adjusting Flexi2 layout:

(I'm trying to make a small right-hand column to my forum, and I can't make it as small as I want using contentpane2 for the forum and rightpane3 for usersonline, announcements and such)

1. You can do this with CSS.
2. Go to Admin > Site Settings and scroll down to the stylesheet editor.
3. Add the following CSS.
4. .RightPane3 { width:25%; }
5. Click “save style sheet” and refresh your site.
6. You can adjust the width value to whatever you need.
