We have developed an application in ASP.NET. This to be integrated with our client's product. Our application would become a module of our client's larger product. Our client is using Linux OS and their product was developed by using Ruby on Rails. Our's OS is windows.
1. How can we integrate our application with client's product?
2. At a minimum, if the client's product wants to query the data in our database, what is the best way to handle this? I'm trying to write a webservice. Is this the best option?

Note: we use MySQL as the database. Thanks in advance.

Regards
Satish.
