Hi all,

I recently installed a new DNN instance and created a new portal.  I'm not able to change the portal's banner image anymore (I was at some point in the past).  Under Edit Portal -> Basic Settings -> Appearance, I see the following message refering to the Logo and Body Background attributes.

You do not have permissions to view any files on the file system

I assume the appropriate permissions are not assigned to the folder, but when I checked them they looked right.  Full Control is assigned to Administrators, Network Service, System and to the network admin account I've been using.

I'm not sure why this is no longer available to me, as I haven't changed any permissions recently that I'm aware of.

Also, the directories in question are definitely available when I try to access them for other purposes through the portal.  For instance, when I edit page settings, the images in these directories can be viewed under Basic Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Appearance -> Icon (as well as Large Icon).

Any idea what would be prohibiting me here or why it seems to be a problem from the Host perspective but not the Page perspective?

Thank you

Can you try going to the Admin/File Manager page and check the permissions on the root folder there?

I assume you are logged in with the Admin account?

Chris, under file manager, the permissions for the Portal Root are...

Administrators are granted Open Files in Folder, Browse Files in Folder and Write to Folder
All Users are granted Open Files in Folder and Browse Files in Folder
All other users have nothing granted.

I've been using the host acount.  When I use the admin account, I am able to see the folders.  So I guess the problem is solved.  I should be using admin instead of host.  I assumed host had all of the permissions admin does, but apparently not.

Thanks for the feedback,
Matt
