Hi,

I am new to DNN and i am making my first website. I have a home page similar to the Google homepage with a logo, links in a wrapper and a search facility. I have defined a searchPane, ContentPane and BottomLinksPane. But how do i align the panes, they seem to be pre-defined in some sort of portal.css?

Thanks

Are you using a custom skin? Or are you using a skin that you downloaded or purchased?

Panes are controlled by the HTML in the Skin, and the CSS, typically in the skin.css which is included in the skin itself.

PD24,

In essence the layout of the panes in a DNN skin is controlled as you would control the layout of any HTML element using CSS. In theory (without seeing the HTML code) you'll need to target the pane ID or Class and use CSS to position it. If you're using Firefox I'd recommend using the Firebug plugin (www.getfirebug.com) to inspect the code and find the HTML elements you need.

Hope this helps,

Rick.
