I have read it somewhere about adding META tag in the skin's ascx in order to add it site-wide, However it adds outside <head> tag which is not working, Is there any idea how to add META tag (site-wide) inside <head> tag? (Its in DNN 4.9.x)

Mohiuddin,

Open/Edit the Page Settings of the page you'd like to add  the tag to. Near the bottom of the Settings page you'll see "Advanced Settings", expand that. There you will find a textbox called "Page Header Tags". Simply enter the complete META tag in there and save the page. Unfortunately there is no way to do this to all the pages at once without editing the DNN code (which is a bad idea).

Thanks Chris for the quick reply, We have more than 100 sites in Single DNN installation and few of the sites have 50+ pages , doing it page by page would be a nightmare, I would request somebody in DNN Core Team if they can suggest a way out, We need to add META code Site-wise.

I'm not exactly sure what this META tag is for, but often you can create a DNS TXT record for certain things as well (such as site verification.) You may want to check your FB documentation for this. This would cover your entire site(s).
