Hi Guys,

I am working on Dotnetnuke skinning for a while. We have about 16 sites to be created using DNN 4.0.3. We plan to create one parent site and rest will be the child.

Our goal is to develop a common skin for all of the sites. This common skin contains a "Home" link which should take the user to the respective site's home page. 

Our goal is to generate dynamic URL for "Home" link. I searched on the net but no luck so far.

Can anyone please advice me on this.

When you say the "respective site's home page"... do you mean the home page of the current child portal?
If so, the LOGO skin object is all you'd need. Make a .gif that says "home", upload and select it as the site logo.
If, on the other hand, you mean the home page of the parent site, a standard text or image link would do fine.

If I'm correct, I was speaking with Leigh Pointer from SubZero Solutions the other day and he told me he'd created or nearly finished a skinobject that will display the child portals in your site - in links format. So it means if you have 16 different portals in the site, it will display 16 links to those portals.  http://www.subzero-solutions.net/home.solution  You may have to email him directly about the availablity.
