I am wondering if any one has inplemented CSS Sprites for Menu Icons.

I do not expect it to be straight forward as the icons are popularted by  a skin object.

My site menu use alot of menu  icons, hence it is worth the effort

though sprites sound nice for module actions as well as admin and host menu, it would limit using custom images from different folders. If we could create a convention of placing all page and action menu items into dedicated folders, using a framework like http://aspnet.codeplex.com/releases/view/65787 would allow for a fully flexible solution.
