All,

I need a completely blank skin. Just a contentpane and nothing else. Not even the admin/host menu atop the page.

I tried to create one but the top horizontal admin/host menu appears.

This is the only line of code I have in it other than a contentpane:

< % @ Control language = " vb " AutoEventWireup = " false " Explicit = " True " Inherits = " DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin " % >

Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Mark

Hello,

Since they switched to the new command bar, it's not possible to hide it using a skin. I submitted a request to hide it to gemini, but it hasn't gotten implemented - in fact, they said that there didn't seem to be much interest in it - so maybe you could give it some support. Still, I'm not sure my request will 100% cover what you're going for. (http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project...)

If it helps though, one solution is to put it in print mode... to do that, just add a querystring parameter that says dnnprintmode=true. If you do that, then the command bar doesn't show. For the case I needed it, I could easily pass that parameter, but that might not cover your need.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Hi Mark and Mike,

There is a trick you can use to hide the control panel on DNN7:

1 - Create another .CSS file under your skin folder. Lets call it "hide-control-panel.css";

2 - Add the following to it:

#ControlBar_ControlPanel {
display:none
}

#Form.showControlBar {
margin-top: 0px !important;
}

3 - On your skin file add the following line to the top:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" Namespace="DotNetNuke.Web.Client.ClientResourceManagement" Assembly="DotNetNuke.Web.Client" %>
<dnn:DnnCssInclude ID="DnnCssInclude1" runat="server" FilePath="hide-control-panel.css" PathNameAlias="SkinPath" Priority="1000"/>

This will hide the control panel. I have tried it myself.

Note: Not sure whether the forum editor here will display the code correctly or not, but let's see.

Cheers,

Mike,

I'd love to and will check it out shortly.

Aderson,

Thanks, I'll give that a shot and let you know how it goes.

Mark
