I have been trying to find a way to open another page in its own window from the DNN menu.  The menu offers the ability to point at an external URL but no means to make it open in its own window that I can tell.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

Evans Martin

Hey Evans,

I ran into the same problem myself a while back and after trolling the forums and a couple Google queries, I found this simple little workaround the best answer for a simple "new browser"... for the target URL enter:

window.open('www.domain.com','_blank');

The javascript should pop a new window for you. Let me know how it works for ya...

It doesn't seem to be working for me.  DNN keeps trying to append a http:// onto the front of it.  If I edit the http off and click the resulting menu choice, I don't get any errors but I don't get a new window either.  Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,
Evans Martin

Whoops, small formatting error: Enter the following:

*javascript*: window.open('http://www.domain.com')

Drop the *s though
