Hi,

I have a problem with modules from the menu not showing after the new version (6.0.3) of DNN. The modules that are not showing are:

Page management, advanced settings, vendors, newsletters, google analytics, site log, themes.

As you can imagine the module that are essential for the site to work is the "page management" module.

I would think that it is something on the templates that is wrong and need to change after the new DNN version because i am using the same template on the earier version of DNN and every module are there. I need help with fixing this and i don't think there is much work if you know what to look for but i am willing to pay for this to be done.

Regards

S S,

6.0.3 is not a really new version. But anyway: Is this a new install or an upgrade? Have you changed the names of these pages?

When you go to Host :: SQL, do you get a result from one of these queries:

SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE TabName = 'Pages'
SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE Title = 'Page Management'

SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE TabName = 'Vendors'
SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE Title = 'Vendors'

SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE TabName = 'Newsletters'
SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE Title = 'Newsletters'

SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE TabName = 'Google Analytics'
SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE Title = 'Google Analytics'

SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE TabName = 'Site Log'
SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE Title = 'Site Log'

SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE TabName = 'Skins'
SELECT * FROM {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Tabs WHERE Title = 'Skins'

What page do you mean by "Advanced Settings"?

Happy DNNing!

This is a new install, and no i have not changed the names of the pages.

Yes i do get results, what does that mean?

I mean "Advanced Configuration Settings".

When i installed this template i followed the installation notes for the package and it said that i should go to "site wizard" and then should click on "replace". Then i got a message that said:

"This template has the following modules that are not installed.
Vendors
Banners
Site Log
Newsletters
Google Adsense
Feedback
Skins
Marketplace
ContentList
ProfessionalPreview
Registration
AdvancedSettings"

So i think that has something to do with the problem i have.

Regards

if you are running DNN 8, there had been a number of changes in admin modules - some have been ripped from the DNN Framework and some others are now installed using a different mechanism. I suggest not to use Site Wizard in DNN 8.

S S,

as Sebastian said: some of these modules have been ripped from DNN 8. This does not mean that they do not exist anymore, but as it was the case with the so called "Core Modules" a while ago, they are not included in the DNN installation anymore. So you have to download and install them seperately before running the Site Wizard.

You should take care if those modules work in DNN 8. There were some breaking changes that might not have been fixed in the modules.

Happy DNNing!
Michael
