Hi there,

I have created a solpart menu and have added icons to 4 of the main menu items. The menu item text is vertically aligning to the bottom of the icons. I want the text to align to the middle of the icon. I have tried to add verical-align=middle to some of the solpart menu styles in my css but it hasn't worked.

I have taken a screenshot of the problem which you can see at http://www.winshop.com.au/erniet/menuproblem.gif

How do I align the text to the middle of the icon?

You can not do that with solpart.

I have worked around it in the past (very past like 2 years ago) with adding transparent 10-15 px to the top of the icon image. You do need a transparent image for home too

If I put a transparent pixel above the icon image it will push it down but I imagine that doing so will create a space at the top of the icons.

I had a look at salaro.com and it seemed to all line up because the icons are small (15 pixels or less) so I tested on my site and it worked too. Unfortunately my icons are about 20 pixels high which makes the text go to the bottom.

Is there another way, like another module or should I just create the menu as icon images with the text included in the image and no real text for the title?

You could create a long background for the menu strip and since you know the length of each tab, You can place them appropriatly so it lines up well. That way you do away with icons in page settings.
