Hi everybody,

I would like to show to one of my friend that portals and design can work together. I mean, i would like to show him some skins which don't look like a classic portal.

You know, he thinks that every portals look like same as others whith LeftPane / Content pane / Right pane and "square" web part.

Do you have great exemple of DNN skinning which show that there are no limits.

Thanks a lot

WG

Hi, you can design a skin to look like anything. They can be very customized and detailed if you want them to be. I usually come up with a sketch of what I want the skin to look like before I start making it. You can also customize pre-made skins to look exactly as you would like. Whenever we buy a skin I always end up customizing / changing something. Here are a few of the websites I have done so far in dnn: www.FEECO.com, www.ENCAP.net (custom), www.WisWeddingPlanner.com, www.4DImpressions.com, www.GoSpotless.com, www.EliteHumanCapital.net (was completely custom to - the original website www.EliteHumanCapital.com was a flash site so the .net we made in dnn for better spidering), www.GBOptimist.com, just to name a few.

Hi William, have you seen Paul's Faktnet site?  He has a repository of loads of site examples.  It's here: http://www.faktnet.com/..../DotNetNukeWebsitesDirectory/...

Thank you Barry! Your site is very interesting and there is a lot of example. I've already find some very good.

Anyway, if anybody have very innovating things to show us, please post it, i'm still interested in finding new inspiration.

Thanks
