As promised the first part of the tutorial series on how to best implement Microsoft Ajax with DotNetNuke 4 is released!

The first part is focused on the changes needed to be done to DotNetNuke to make it enabled to run Ajax code and functionalities.

As with BlankModule, this guidance is a new project of mine, and can be found in the projects section of my site (the link to the projects section is in my sig.)

Thanks,

Hi Vladan,

Good work as always! I have only just started looking into how to integrate the Ajax toolkit with the Smart-Thinker modules but I look forwarded to reading your work...

Questions to follow shortly ;)

Hi Rodney,

Thanks, I look forward to the questions

So far I've heared of some problems from the guys which are using it with the control toolkit, but I don't have enough information yet to say is it a problem with Ajax "installation" or the implementation from the 1-2 guys which have reported issues.

I only hope we can get it integrated in the core, otherwise all my effort is just a passing thing and Ajax cannot come live in DNN.

Thanks,
Vladan Strigo

Hi Vladan and thanks...I've been looking for guidance on how to implement MS Ajax into DNN.  This will be really helpful.  I was wondering if you're willing to share what's in the VladanStrigoNET.HttpModules.EnsureScriptManager.dll?  Would it be possible to release the source code for this module?  I'm kind of nervous about implementing a potential change to the Core DNN Code in production without reviewing the potential for impact.  Thanks again.

Hi Favance,

I understand your concerns. I will do it in the next few days (I want to see about the Control toolkit issues first) and announce it here so you can download it.
