I have been reading a lot about some web applications that can work off line and wondered in there was anybody who had worked on something like that. Any way to create an online application that can 'sync' with a database when it 'reconnects' to the web.

I am thinking about laptop in industrial settings where the laptop may go to the factory floor where they dont have web access but what to record info and then save it to a central database

Hi,

Check out  Google Gears .  I've never used it myself, it might be a good starting point for you.

Thanks,
Mike
