I have an issue with a custom module I am building where a drop down list isn't changing my views like it should in some instances. I am running DNN 4.5.5 on Windows Server 2003 SP2, SQL Server 2005, and IIS 6 fully patched. Site is running in an Active Directory and use AD Authentication provided by DNN in Mixed mode (I can login as admin or host).

I have two datalists in an update panel. There is a drop down list that hides and shows the datalists depending on the selected value. All works fine if the user is an admin or a superuser but normal users are short-circuited somehow. Non-admins can select the desired view, but are immediately refreshed (partial page rendering) to the same view and the drop down list resets to whatever was selected. I noticed that admins and superusers get the same results if they are in View Mode rather than Edit Mode when using Active Directory Authentication (same result for Mixed authentication and Windows authentication).

When not attached to an AD, the module performs a full postback in order to change views when a standard user or a privledged user (in View Mode) changes views - but it works...

Please Help I have been spinning my wheels for 1/2 a day now.
