Hello,

I have a platform that extends dataprovider and will allow dnn to run on several types of rdbms. my question is how do i effectively manage change between versions? Is there a central place that discloses the db schema changes between one version and the next?

There are ERD documents avalaible at the bottom of this page:

Probably not what you need. You would have to use software such as DBCompare to get a list of the changes.  This is one of the reasons that the only alternate provider we have is the Oracle one. The company that creates it puts in hard work to keep it updated. I was unable to get a group together that would maintain a MySQL provider.

Since we don't have a "Data" forum this is as good as place as any :) If you need assistance I am the Core member in charge of promoting alternate data providers. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

I have LOTS of questions!!!

I am taking a completely language agnostic approach to this project and have opted to remove all requirements for database scripts. I would like for my product to update the database schema itself. When dotnetnuke is being setup, my project will check the schema and update it if necessary. Do you see any reasons why this wont work?
