In short, yes.

More importantly, however, why do you want to do this and where would the stored procedure be used? The DotNetNuke framework already exposes many user profile properties automatically if you developing a module (simply by inherting from the PortalModuleBase Class). Ideally, you would want to leverage that functionality.

See PortalModuleBase.UserInfo.

Hi Jordan,

where can I find this "PortalModuleBase.UserInfo"?

What I really want is for a logged user to print some kind of "certificate" page. The page will load some data from his profile so he wont have to type it by himself.

(also avoid any thought of tampering...) I was thinking to use databind but I encountered some problems.

TIA

PortalModuleBase is the class that you inherit from when developing a custom module (in your case, one that prints a certificate page). Your module would "automatically" have that UserInfo property available. In VB, it would look something like this.

Partial Class MyCustomModule Inherits Entities.Modules.PortalModuleBase
...
End Class

Then, somewhere in that class, you would be able to access information like this. This is the same information that a user can provide as part of the registration process on a DNN site.

          Me.UserInfo.FirstName
          Me.UserInfo.LastName
          Me.UserInfo.Profile.Street
          Me.UserInfo.Profile.City
          Me.UserInfo.Profile.PostalCode
