HI!

Have been installed 4.8.0 Starter Kit and are new in DNN and module dev. My q is whatis is the diffens between Templates Simple Dynamic module and Dynamic module? I can´t find any info about it.

I'm looking at that too.  Added both - the simple one does not include the settings/edit controls, just a View.ascx control.

For some reason, the addin creates the folder name as "ModuleName" not the name you type in.

This is an historic event!!  I can FINALLY answer a question for someone :-)

The module sub-folders are automatically called "ModuleName" in both the app code folder and the desktop module folder.  You have to manually rename these to the name you gave your module.  There is actually some text in the module page that pops up when you create the module that explains exactly where and what to change this to.  You also have to include the name in the webconfig file.  There are instructions for this change in that same module page that pops up.

The simple just creates a view.ascx under desktopModules whereas the dynamic also creates the edit and settings ascx files. Also theres nothing created in the App_Code folder for simple where as the dynamic creates sqlDataProvider, DataProvider, Controller and info files. So the simple is good when there's no data connection or you want to create these files by yourself.
