If page is inherits from DotNetNuke.Framework.PageBase, you can use UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo().UserID to get it.

I managed to get userid by inherit DotNetNuke.Framework.PageBase and using DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo().UserID.ToString();

Any example how to use HTTPContext to get current userid? I tried using HttpContext.Current.Profile.UserName but didn't get anything. I just want to know because sometime need the user information using external aspx or ashx or asmx.

How about this for obtaining the UserInfo object from the current context:

CType(HttpContext.Current.Items("UserInfo), UserInfo)

Personally, I would use the GetCurrentUserInfo method as it first tries to pull the UserInfo from the current context, then if it is not available there, from the database.
