Hi All,

I'm currently experimenting with building my own modules. Using the Express version of VWD, it's not possible to use the DNN source package. I'd love to know which code is used for creating new pages, customising profiles, etc. I'm trying to build a module which automates a few standard DNN funtionalities with one click on a button. Now i could use the DAL and code the module from scratch, but the used code by DNN would make my work much easer. Any sugestions on how to proceed?

DNN source is a WAP (web application project), which requires VS 2005 Std+, VS2008 Std+ or VS 2008 Express SP1, though I haven't tried using VS2008 Express SP1 for it yet.

Hi Sebastian,

Thanx for the swift reply. I've tryed to use a new install of VWS Express 2008 with the source package. During startup VWDE2008 keeps giving popups with "Solution folders are not supported in this version of the application". In the end multiple parts of the solution end up 'unavailable'. Am I doing something wrong?
