I'm working on a collection of user controls for module development on a new project to alleviate some repetiveness but doesn't warrant a separate module. These user controls inherit PortalModuleBase rather than UserControl. I'm trying to created a flexible structure of localization use resx files (We're not doing true language localization, just store label texts etc. into resx files for easy manipulation by less savvy users).

Right now, from within the parent module I can say:

MyControl.LocalResourceFile = this.LocalResourceFile;

What I would like very much to do is be able to say something like this from within the Page_Load of MyControl.cs

this.LocalResourceFile = MyParentModule.LocalResourceFile;

I've played with Parent, but I still can't get it to cast properly or to reach the parent module. Is there any way to reach that parent module?

Thanks,

Mark Huber
