Hi,

I've a gridview with datasource, used like this:

    <ItemTemplate>
    <a name="<%# ((int)DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem,"ItemID")).ToString() %>" />
    </ItemTemplate>

or like this:

    <ItemTemplate>
    <asp:Label ID="lblFirstName" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("FirstName") %>' Width="100%"></asp:Label>
    </ItemTemplate>

It's working good.

now, i would like make af condition like this in an itemTemplate:

        <ItemTemplate>
        <% if (((int)DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "AffiliateID")) > 0) { %>
        <asp:ImageButton id... />
        <% } else { %>
        <asp:ImageButton id... />
        <% } %>
        </ItemTemplate>

But, it say that Container is ambiguous... with bind("AffiliateID") or eval("AffiliateID") too.

Could you help me ?

Regards.

I would separate the template file and actual "processing data" part. Even it's really short if statement,,,I always separate them  because im a neat -freak lol

Two Files:
- DisplayFirstName.ascx
contains all template code ,positioning of each components, etc.  You need to link the DisplayFirstName.vb on this code so this code knows where to ask the data processing.

- DisplayFirstName.vb contains all codes associated with data processing/conditions - if statement, loops, whatever.

DisplayFirstName.vb processes the "if statement" and bounce the data back to DisplayFirstName.ascx

I always refer to this site for module practice...
