Hi, all

     in DNN 5.1.1 am not able to import control its getting me "Error importing control" message, have just displayed some text in the design od the control dont know whta the problem in DNN 5.1.1, i have no problem in importing Modules , but there is some problem in importing control, anyone knows wht the problem may be, any help will be appriatiated most,

and thanks for any help in advanced......:)

this doesn't seem to be related to the HTML module in DNN 5. Where do you try to import a control?

Hi sebastian,

thanks for quick reply,   see i have installed a new module thats working fine, in the same module i have created one more control .ascx page when i try to import this control .ascx which i have included in this module that time am getting "Error Importing Selected Control" error, how to resolve this , please help

Hi,

We mean while developing a module in DNN 5.1.1 in Visual studio 2008. From the solution when we "Add-> new item-> DNN module" works fine..but when we try to add any ascx files, it doesnt allow us and throws the said error. Im wondering if the issue is related to VS2008.

- Is the DNN 5.5.1 starter kit to be used only with VS2005? does it have any known issues with VS 2008?

-  is the way of developing modules for DNN 5.1.1 quite different from the 4.9.x versions? if yes then where could we find any related information to this?
