hi,

i developed a little tool that shows directories and files (from a root directory which can be defined per modul) within a dynamic table. The aim is that a user can navigate through the directories and can download the displayed files.

To download the selected file i use a LinkButton with the following OnClick Method:

Private Sub ButtonLinkFile_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
 Dim fname As String = Server.MapPath(sender.CommandArgument)
 Dim f As System.IO.FileInfo = New System.IO.FileInfo(fname)
 Response.Clear()
 Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" + f.Name)
 Response.AddHeader("Content-Length", f.Length.ToString())
 R
esponse.ContentType = "application/octet-stream"
 R
esponse.WriteFile(f.FullName)
 Response.End()
End Sub

This works if the user does not login. After a user login to DNN (4.3.3) he can navigate but if he select a file to download, the download progress bar window appears, the application (i.e. Word or Acrobat Reader) open and an error message appears.

The error message tells me that the file xyz[1].ppt is not available at c:\documents and settings\[DOMAIN.username]\Locale Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\YVWW9U7M

Why does this happen ???

Thx for any info. Holger
