Is there a way to have a module with just a tree control on it and when you click on one of its nodes make it affect the display of another module on the same page.

If not then is there a control that will render a ascx file that you feed it through code.

Thanks

Joe

you can use two techniques, depending on your requirements. If you require that search engines be able to follow the links in your treeview as well, you can choose simple querystring parameters. If that's not a requirement, you can use the dnn inter module communication framework. More info on that here: http://www.kodhedz.net/Default.aspx?tabid=38

I got the querystring way working. Thanks.

Another question is that when I click on a node it loads the correct page on the other module but it losses the tree control module because when DNN navigates to a edit type page it hides all the other panes. I know module defs can have multiple view type controls but i'm not sure how to tell the module to show different ones based criteria. Is there a way to do this.

Thanks

Joe
