DNNStuff is proud to announce a new module to their lineup called Inject Anything.

Inject Anything is a general use module that allows you to effortlessly include scripts such as javascript/vbscript, css, html, or text within any page of your DotNetNuke portal

View a quick 3 minute video demo of the module in action or try it out yourself with a fully functional demo you can download here.

Almost every DotNetNuke site needs the following scripts:

  • Google Analytics tracking code
  • Social bookmarking links for popular sites such as Del.icio.us, Digg, MySpace, Facebook, Yahoo Buzz, Technorati, Blicklist, Furl and reddit
  • YouTube video embedding
  • ... endless uses
Instead of managing your scripts inside a standard html/text module, use a single module that was crafted to handle it all. Inject Anything comes with a list of predefined standard scripts to get you started with more included all the time.

Features Include:

  • inject content from a variety of sources including the portal filesystem, standard included scripts or a freeform text area
  • content can be injected into a number of different page areas including head, after opening body, after opening form, before closing form and before closing body tags
  • supports token replacement for all DNN settings and also your own custom tokens
  • predefined standard scripts for most of the functionality you need today

What can I use this for?

  • inserting custom javascript for statistics trackers such Google Analytics
  • inserting custom javascript for Google Adsense
  • inserting html code to produce social bookmarking links for popular sites such as Del.icio.us, Digg, Technorati, Blicklist, Furl and reddit (ex. the social bookmarking links I have in the top right)
  • inserting html customized for the logged in user using replaceable tokens such as FirstName, LastName etc.
  • inserting embedded YouTube videos
  • inserting flash videos
  • inserting games
  • inserting financial calculators
  • insert additional css on your page to override some settings
  • its so versatile the list is endless .. take advantage of the thousands of public domain scripts at sites such as http://www.free-javascripts.com/http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ and http://www.javascript-2.com/
