Hi there!

I tried Store 02.01.44 RC BETA tonight and found that it was not adding any shipping to any order, even though it worked prior to the upgrade from version 02.01.36

I even doubled checked the inventory and made sure it had the correct shipping weight.

Also one other question, should I create a special user to use if I change the mode to be always anonymous or user choice?  Didn't know if that would matter with paypal or not.

Hi Jonathan,

When I try an order the shipping price is correctly added, could you give me more details about your settings?

If the checkout mode setting is defined to 'user choice' or 'anonymous', you have to select a user account created by you. All orders will be affected to this user account, this allow the store admin to retrieve orders from this account. This do not change anything when you use the PayPal provider or any other gateway provider. The only difference is when a visitor do not have or use an account, the checkout process do not list his addresses nor prefill the biling address with the user account address or the 'primary' address defined by the customer that's all. Whatever the checkout mode used, the billing address entered at checkout will be transmited to PayPal. If your customer DO NOT have a PayPal account this address is used by PayPal to prefill the billing address in the PayPal form. On the other hand, if your customer have a PayPal account the billing address used is the one defined in his own PayPal account.

Thanks for the quick response! 

I have gone back to the stable release last night, since I needed shipping applied.

My shipping is setup to be as follows:

Description Min. Weight Max. Weight Cost Delete
Add

And my item that I tried last night is setup as:


* Category is required.

Hi Jonathan,

I got it! :-) This occurs only with the PayPal gateway provider and is due to the way is computed PayPal Surchage (Percent and Fixed). I will release a new version in days, I have to perform some tests before.
