Would it be possible for someone to update the WebControls project?

The install package for DNN 4.5 has a Debug compiled version of DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll which slows down performance in production.

If I go directly to the WebControls project download it is an older version that will not work with DNN 4.5 (and it is also compiled in Debug anyway).

If I try to compile the webcontrols source from the source version of DNN 4.5, it is also an older version and will not work with DNN 4.5.

I will be releasing v1.5.3 shortly and it will be posted to sourceforge.  Details on this version will be out in a blog probably tonight.

It is true that the version was compiled in debug.  I am not understanding your compatibility issues though...  remember that webcontrols still support v1.x of the framework.  Therefore it needs to only reference dlls compiled against 1.x (WebUtility.dll).

I just got back from vacation and recently started a new job, which hopefully gives a little explanation to my delayed responses to the forums and emails.

Hi Jon,

One of the problems is that the curent source that is available for DNN will not compile with the current source for WebControls.

In other words, If I compile the WebControls 1.5 source in release it will not work with DNN 4.5

I know that the DNN project references the binary, but in my opinion the WebControls source should be in sync with the DNN core.

Hope you had a good vacation. I didn't expect you to be the only one that could get the current source released so no problem there.
