Very unlikely.

The Yahoo! Weather Service can run off of a U.S. zip code, so you could use a users zip code if it is in their profile info. For international users, the service runs off of a region code that you have to get from Yahoo!.

Well here are a couple of alternatives for US Weather info.  I use the Yahoo service rendered in an XML/XSL or NewsFeeds (RSS) module with a custom xsl stylesheet.  Also, you could use an HTML module, and render weather info using one of the available weather services, placing their 'tag' code in your HTML.  Most of the weather services require attribution to legally use them on sites, anyway, so it's just a matter of how 'custom' you want to make it.

You can get info from the US National Weather service too, including radar maps.  The basic information that is in all of the other weather services is taken from them, with maybe some additional reporting sites.  There are about 255 US Regional Weather Stations available.  Not all locations reported by zip code in most services are actually reporting from stations in that zip code, but from areas centralized to a reporting station nearby.  Radar info takes a bit more to render when using the US Weather Service data, and that would require some additional code.

Hi

Re Weather:
I use the free Bite The Bullet Yahoo Module from http://www.bitethebullet.co.uk
See it in use here: http://www.royal-southern.co.uk/Racing/WeatherFeeds/tabid/166/Default.aspx

Re Maps
Try Antonio Chagoury's InspectorIT MS Maps module. Note this is not fee but it is cheap and MS virual Earth seems to have better images than Google earth of UK / US.  This can also display weather info.  Check out Birds Eye View!

See my initial use of this here.

Note a problem with some css rendering means some pop-up buttons are loaded but not rendered. This is me not the module.
Antonio has been very helpful.

Hope this helps

Ian

I'll put it back up after I get a chance to update it.

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to seeing what you've done.  Incidentally, I was using the Oliver Hine Weather Module (www.OliverHine.com) but it is interacting with the Jetkey SmartMap (www.Jetkey.com) when they are both on the same page.  Incidentally, the Oliver Hine Module can be set to load the local weather for the logged-in user's zip code.

It would be really great if your module offered that feature.

Does anyone know how to contact Oliver Hine?  The Contact From on his web site can't connet to a mail server.

You can see it on: http://www.demonchronicles.com

I am still working some kinks out of the scale switching functions.
