I want a login capability like /login.aspx but no login button on any forms, is this possible?

Do you mean you do not want the login link on the skin? If so, you can manually load the login for by appending &ctl=login to any querystring (if using friendly urls use ?ctl=login).

I'm looking to so the samething. Using "?ctl=login" is fine but I would prefer something like www.dnnsite.com/login. Is there any way in DNN to specify an alias URL to forward to some internal page or other url? Thank you!

I use Scott McCulloch's friendly URL replacement (http://www.ventrian.com/Resources/Projects/FriendlyUrls.aspx) one of the things this does is re-write the more common controls to the 'root of the site, login being one.  So you can login by going to www.dnnsite.com/login.aspx

You can also create a virtual directory (called "login") in IIS that redirects to /default.aspx?ctl=login.
