I've been trying to attach a couple documents to some threads, and get a couple different errors.  Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

An Error Has Occurred When Attempting To Save The File D:\Inetpub\lms.learnshare.com\PrivateSite\Portals\0\IDP Plans CU 20072.doc. Please Contact Your Hosting Provider To Ensure The Appropriate Security Settings Have Been Enabled On The Server.

 Or this one:

The File D:\Inetpub\lms.learnshare.com\PrivateSite\Portals\0\Kerry Learnshare Conference Slides for Sharing 4-20-07.pps Is A Restricted File Type. Valid File Types Include ( *. swf, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.jpe, *.gif, *.bmp, *.png, *.doc, *.xls, *.ppt, *.pdf, *.txt, *.xml, *.xsl, *.css, *.zip ). Please Contact Your Hosting Provider If You Need To Upload A File Type Which Is Not Supported.

My guess is that the second one just wouldn't support the type of file we were trying to attach (.pps), but the first one was a word document, so not sure why some of those attachments wouldn't post.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

You'll need to make sure the permissions are setup on the portals folder, to allow the aspnet account, or network service account (win2k3), read/write permissions.

As for the PPS, you can add PPS to the host settings of allowable file upload types if you want to be able to upload those files, but you'll probably still run into the first issue until you fix the permissions.

I passed this along, but had one more question.  Where do we go to modify the host settings?  We checked the permissions and those are set correctly now.
