Hi,

I have a flash movie in the main content area on my site. When hovering over the solpart menu I noticed that the submenu links  drop down (hidden) behind the flash movie and so the links are hidden.

Is there a parameter I can add to make the solpart submenu show over top the flash movie?

I should clarify that this only happens in Firefox. IE seems to work fine.

Regards,

Patrick

Add this param to your flash movie parameters

name="wmode" value="transparent"

How is that done with the standard Media module? There seems to be no way to alter the properties/parameters of the media inserted? I have the same problem ...

Also, the new default DNN Text editor includes an option to insert flash. I can't get it to work though - when I attempt to save the changes in any text module in which I have inserted a flash element, the contents are reset to whatever it was before I started editing. Does anyone have a clue why this happens?

The easiest way is simply to paste the html straight into a text box using the Source button. Typically your code may look something like this;

+++++++++++++++++++++ CODE

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase
="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="558" height="198">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<PARAM NAME="BASE" VALUE=".">
<param name="movie" value="/Portals/0/yourfile_as1.swf">
<param name="quality" value="high"><param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
<embed src="/Portals/0/slideshow_yourfile.swf" BASE="." quality="high"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
wmode="transparent" width="500" height="200">
</embed
></object>
++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ENDCODE
Change the various parameters to suit your needs
Alternatively there are modules out there that do the job for you. www.inventura.com is a good one.
