Those that are still running DNN2 sites that have had problems upgrading to dnn3/4 I have been working on using the dnn3 template system in the dnn2 frame work - you can automatically generate a dnn3 template of the dnn2 site and then import it into the new dnn3 site.

Currently it imports the site structure but not the content - hopefully I will have it including the content in due time. It also can generate a template for a dnn2 site.

The upgrade from dnn2 to dnn3 has a number of problems the worse being that one cannot log in - so using the template is a nice quick fix. Any one that would like the dnn2 code please email me. If you want to help extend it to include content then please do.

Basically there is a new control built on the dnn3 template.ascx and a number of changes to serialise some of the info modules.

On large DNN2 sites even using the template to rebuild the dnn3 site structure is a massive saving in time.
