ok, I have psoted and looked every where in these forums and elsewhere.  I have upgraded and also copied the portal.tempalte.xsd fix and cannot get and additional portals created.  I still get a "error creating portal" message.  Someone please help as this has been going on for a week. I need to finish my deployment and already have users on the primary install so another fresh try just will not work for me.  Thanks for any help.

Is the problem that the template was created with an old version that didn't have the xls fix you mentioned.

I upgraded to DNN4.5.3  after I had applied the xsl fix, and because of your pose tried to create a test portal and got "child node" errors.

I recreated the template from the portal I clone for new portals and then I could create a new portal.

My Custom Portal does have the fix and doesn't error, that is what is so odd.  I posted the fix to that portal and it works fine.  On this one, I can't even create from the default template.

I just exported a template from this install and tried to create a portal from that, and still  "error creating protal".

Core Team?  Any ideas?
