I am not seeing events in my code behind for Gridview control  during module development :\(.

I turned on the following in my Gridview. User Interface :

AutoGenerateDeleteButton="True" AutoGenerateEditButton="True" AutoGenerateSelectButton="True" OnRowDeleted="GridView1_RowDeleted" OnRowEditing="GridView1_RowEditing" OnRowUpdated="GridView1_RowUpdated">

My code behind is not getting any events fired when I select Edit or Delete for an active row in the grid. I am properly bound to and loading my GridView from data in the database with a few rows.

1) Any ideas, can I use standard controls and process events without restriction?

2) Is there some special way to handle events in my code behind when operating within the DNN framework?

Thank You in advance for your assistance.

John

 The issue here was trying to manually bind a gridview to the list returned from my viewcontroller. The mechanism does not work well. I did manage to get the events to start firing but once I got through that, I hit a roadblock where my row updates were firing but all the data was null in the event object. Solution : Use a data source object on the user interface and change the interface methods on the controller to pass non object arguments. Run the data source wizard, when the control asks for a source class give it the name of the controller fully qualified. When you get it to work, save the ui portion of the definition since it "can" be overwritten if you run the data source wizard again. You can also use something similar to the following as a starter and edit for your install. With your gridview associated with the data source you get, row editing, delete, select, formatting right out of the box. :\). No need to bind either, the only code you need to add is to set the module id in a on selecting event such as shown below. I tried to paste the UI code here but the formatting is a problem.

ODS1_OnSelecting (...

{

e.InputParamters["ModuleId"] = this.ModuleId;
