I am involved with a small charity (www.kfk.org.au) we have a few volunteers who would like to put some java and stuff into our DNN website. i would like to be able to download the site/portal so they can play around without breaking any thing.

i have the password to the portal (admin password) but not the entire site (the host password)

i am wondering is there a way i can download everything that our portal uses so the designers can use dreamweaver to play arround with the site?

if you don't have host access there is nothing you can do.

Also.. what do you mean with  "put some java and stuff" ? You mean java applets or javascript? In general, you'd be better off using modules that have the features you want.

Also... you dont need the site to play around with dreamweaver. Your designers can just create a skin, test it on a local install of dnn and ask the hosting provider to install the skin if you are done...

Thanks for your reply,

I belive they want to put in some Java apps but im not sure, they want to put in some flash animations and a few other things, no idea really.

The hosting company has sent me a CD with the web site on it so I will be arranging to have a DNN local test environment setup soon.

Thanks for you ideas, I will pass them on.
