I am seeing that to manage my users and site I really need some more useful reports. Does anyone have some view that flatten out the sitelog and users data so that I could develop some reports with either DNN's report module or ListX which I already use for an application?

Thanks in advance,

/DaveS

What types of information are you looking for?  I personally use Google Analytics over the site log to view informiaton about my site activilty etc.

With the sitelog I am looking for who (logged in users) accessed which pages. For referrals from referrals I am looking for the to be able to click in the actual link and see how they got there. I really wish that SiteLog would do the DNS lookup and write the Host Name in the sitelog.

For user I want to look at when they last logged in be able to sort the list by any of the fields etc. I do wish that DNN would leave a cookie on each computer with a Unique number and an remember that number across sessions and write that number in the sitelog. That would allow me to associate multiple access by the same person even if they are on DHCP networks (DSL & Cable). Google appears to do this because their "unique users" is much different that "destinct IP"

I write a simple users view and discovered that when verify is turned on I still only get 50% of the registration approved. Good thing that I was working on the report, because I was ignoring the Users page to approve users.

What I was looking for in the views was a very complete one that linked in as much information as DNN had about the user or page hit, so I did have to find where information like "last login" was hidden and figure out the convoluted sql to access it.  I actually think that there are a view of these useful view that DNN should include as part of DNN and adjust as required when they change the underlying structures.
