I've spent some time recently looking at the WPF [Starlight]  offerings from MS - and they are a significant step upwards in presentation layer technology for the .net platform.

So.... has anyone produced a step-by-step description of how we developers might integrate this magic into the DNN world? I'd love to see how to create a Starlight DNN module..

The only new technology that i have seen in a DNN example module recently was a "Silverlight" module created by Michael Washington.  http://dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com

I think the OP meant Silverlight anyway.  There's no "Starlight" WPF technology that I've ever heard of.

Jeff,

Yes - you're correct. It is SilverLight. I tend not to focus on daft, temporary brandnames - just the technology :)

 Mitchel,
.. Thanks for that... It looks like a very good starting point.

D.

ADDENDUM:
I took the example that Mitchel pointed to, converted it to VB.net [straightforward], created a new module - and it worked fine!

I also changed the original Subject heading to Silverlight so that others can find this reference. [Thanks Jeff :)]

I've bought the Charles Petzold book "Applocations = Code+Markup" [ISBN-13 978-0-7356-1957-9] [Microsoft Press] and "Windows Presentation Foundation Unleashed" by Adam Nathan [ISBN 0-672-32891-7][SAMS] - Both look good. Finally, I've downloaded the Infragistics controls for WPF - well worth looking at, the carousel app is stunning.
