Hi,

I am new to this and need some help to answer a question :-)

Is there anyway I can block (or permit) access to pages based on the domain of the email address of the registration attempt?

The problem:

I am trying to design a site where an organisation is sold a "site access licence". All members of that organisation could register and be given access via a verified email. If they try to register wiithout a correct email address, then the registration would be refused.

I hope I have explained myself clearly

Thanks in advance.

there is no automatic procedure for this, I suggest to create a security role "company members", set membership to private, in order that the admin gets notified by email that he has to grant access permission and can include the new user to this role at that moment.

Thanks for the reply Sebastian, I was afraid that was the only way :-(

I was hoping to reduce the administation load as we anticipate thousands of users,

My guess is that it wouldn't be that hard to create you own custom registration module that could handle the entire process for you to automate administration.

It shouldn't be much more than 3-4 hours to whip up a simple module to meet your needs.
