Hey DNN community.

Please let me apologize for my novicity, but I'm usually a LAMP guy.  Upon proposing setting up DNN on my organization's servers, questions have arisen over the dll's in the setup.  Is there any way that I can find a breakdown of what those will be used for or are there any resources where I can find these answers?  I think the initial concern is if these .DLLs will interfere with anything else on the server.  I don't think there would be a problem, but I'm having to respond on something I don't know anything about.  Can you guys help?

Thanks!

Jack

I am not an expert, but I would say that the dll's that are contained within the DotNetNuke directory will not interfere with other software on the system. .Net was designed to alleviate "dll hell" and implements strong versioning.
