Hello Everyone,

Have a few question. I'm a newbie and I am going to biuld a nice web site that needs the following thing:

1. A module that can pull in a stock charts from another website. (I don't dare try to keep all those charts myself) Maybe a qoute window too?

2. I would like to have live audio to members......If I want this functionality do I have to host the site myself or can I host at a "godaddy" and still be able to have a live audio?

I think everything else I want DNN can do. Haven't found much about the above stuff. Can anyone give me some advice? Should I use DNN? If not - is there another CMS that might work better for what I want to do?

Thanks

Hi,

A few suggestions I can think of are

1. you can use an Iframe to display content that's visible on another website, although this might not be the sollution you are looking for, because it might cause some design issues, and if the other site require login, it gets a bit more complicated.

2. There is a Skype module for DNN, I haven't really tried it out since it doesn't mesh with the look and feel of my current site, but I cant see it being any different from normal skype. (If that is what you mean by "live audio to memebers"??)

Thanks Drake,

What I want to do is allow all logged in members of my site to be able to listen to a live (like a radio station) audio stream. I think I found what I wanted for 1 but not for the audio. There is a lot of information out the for posting streaming audio from a file, but very little for being able to "post" a live stream where if I said "it is 12 noon here" into a mic all my logged in members would then hear my comment.
