Does anyone know if there is another blog module for DNN besides the core? I would like to look at something different if one is available.

It isn't a "blog" module per-se, but it works good for me.  Ventrian News Articles -> http://www.ventrian.com

You can see it on my site http://www.mitchelsellers.com

I'm aware of Scott's Module and I may use it and modify it if i can't find anything else.

Depending on what you need from a blog, ActiveForums works pretty well.  I know Will uses it for his blog: http://www.activemodules.com/Community/tabid/55/view/topics/forumid/115/Default.aspx

I have even created some replacement rules using PageBlaster that make ActiveForums create some nice SEO links at my DotNetNuke Support Site.

I'm currently developing an Add-on to make ActiveForums even more "bloggish".  Let me know if you are interested in beta testing.
